For your consideration…

Recently we were asked to share…add our joy…to every person, place, thing, situation, moment, etc. That is hard to do when we are in a perpetual state of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

We have all been there. Many of us actually spend more time there than we realize. The news cycle, if we listen to it, would keep us in this state. I know that I sometimes would find myself waiting for the other shoe to drop while caring for my husband through his illness. Whatever the reason we are asked to notice when we are traveling down this path of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

We are reminded that we are not guaranteed the next moment. Nor do we have the vision to know what is going to come our way. Indeed not knowing adds to our fear and we let it manifest  into expecting another “shoe to drop.” But that is an unrealistic thought. Just as likely, more likely even, another blessing will drop down on us.

So today we are asked to shift our thinking to one of HOPE and love. Rather than expect a shoe to drop, expect blessings. This attitude adjustment and intention will dramatically change our life.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Expect blessings.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day full of sunshine and rain…which my lawn is so grateful for.

-Catching up with Mary and Alex.

-I was beating myself up for not getting more things done. But at the end of the day, I realized I had done a lot.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
