For your consideration
Normally when we are given a plant or animal we look to see what that represents; what is its energy, totem, etc. Today we are given a dandelion and a rose. But our message is not about what they represent.
Instead, we are given a message to ask ourselves which we would rather be? Our first thought might be the rose but if we stop to think about what we know about roses and dandelions, the choice might be harder to make.
For all of its beauty the rose can be temperamental. It is harder to grow. It is susceptible to insects, etc. In contrast the dandelion can grow anywhere even in cracks in the driveway. It is persistent.
The point is that each, the rose and the dandelion, has its strengths and weaknesses, each has its own attributes, each has its own purpose. And we don’t have to pick one over the other. Both are part of Mother Earth and our world just as we are.
We aren’t all beautiful, we don’t all see beauty the same way. Some people are more difficult than others. Some are more persistent than other. But we all share this world with a purpose unique to us. We all add something.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Appreciate ourselves and each other.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Drink lots of water.
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
What made me smile yesterday…
-A beautiful day.
-Watching Conner and Moose.
-Then Conner and Moose went home….ahhh…rest.
-Finished a good book.
