For your consideration…

I didn’t take this picture but it looks exactly like what I saw sitting on the couch and looking out the window. The hummingbirds weren’t too happy to have him there as they tried to get to their food but he seriously did not care about them at all. He was content to simply sit there and look back through the window at Louie and me.

This bird brings a wonderful message, “healing of the family heart.” Certainly, this is a needed and welcome message for me. HOPEfully for you as well.

Note “red bleeding heart” on his chest. When grosbeaks show up they remind us to heal family wounds or they bring healing for those wounds. Specifically, the grosbeak is about family healing.

Grosbeaks sing beautiful melodies…not single notes…but connected notes that form the melody. This reminds us of the importance of relationships. Grosbeaks are good mates and parents. Again reminding us of the importance of family and family relationships. Is there any greater responsibility, than being a good partner and raising responsible loving children/citizens?

We have a long weekend. Our grosbeak came today to remind us to heal family wounds and invest in building strong family bonds.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…”Family love.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the  highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A few weeds pulled…a long way to go. Yikes.

-Catching up with Mary and Joan.

-Dinner at James and Alex’s with Will and Shannon. It was delicious.

-I debated and debated about taking Louie with me. The vet cautioned against letting him be too active after his neuter surgery. But he has been so lonely for Moose, I decided to give it a go. I am so happy I did. He had a great time.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
