For your consideration…

We know that we should not let things sit and fester. We know it is not good for our mental or physical health. Our message today reminds us to clear the air and keep it clear.

I think this can be a balancing act because we do need to think about how we do that so that we do not make things worse. We need to choose our words carefully. We need to be sure that our body language matches our words. So timing can be tricky.

We also want to be careful that we are clearing the air for the “highest good of all.” We don’t want to become a doormat or just agree so that the situation goes away. That is not a solution because while we may make the other person(s) feel better if we don’t really agree our own health will suffer. So the solution has to be mutual even if it is as simple as agreeing to disagree. We don’t all see life the same way. We have different values and beliefs.

Finally, we are reminded that once we have “cleared the air,” we need to let it go. If we do not do that, we have not really accomplished clearing the air.

Summing it up, we need to think before we speak and choose our words carefully, choose good timing, clear the air, and then let it go. It is done.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Clear the air.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A chill day.

-A new cupcake recipe was great.

-Vicki and I went to Kathleen’s retirement party. We are so happy for her.

-Catching up with Shannon, Alex, and Lori.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
