For your consideration…

I tell you, you just never know. “Walk a mile in my shoes.”, I would think, would be easy to find a good illustration for. But just as you think that you discover it is not so. While there are many illustrations, very few of them really capture the real meaning of today’s message. That is because most of them involve judgment and today’s message does not include judgment at all.

In fact, it is the opposite. Our message today honors our spirit…our soul…that wants to help. We want to step in and take away the burden of others. But no, that is not our job. Trying to walk in their shoes robs them of their journey.

But we can help. We can listen. We can lend a helping hand. We can sympathize and hold healing space for them. We can hold a space of love and blessings for them. Our role is not to walk in another’s shoes but to notice the shoes they are wearing and the path before them they are taking. Walk softly with them.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Walk with and next to each other.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Catching up with Shannon.

-A couple good books.

-Paper sorting and organizing done.. I’m ready to get back to card-making.

-A beautiful gentle rain with the windows open last night.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
