For your consideration…

Ok…it is late afternoon. I have had this message since early this morning but kept thinking I had it wrong. I kept thinking we have just had this message. Still, I should know better. The message is not going to go away until I write it. Nor am I going to get another one.

As I sat down to write, I pulled a card for myself to journal on today. The card was “Clairvoyance” and the message basically said to pay attention and quit trying to overrule what I am given.

I was given a couple of life experiences to affirm today’s blog message. Happy is as Happy does.

I am aware that this is going to sound mean and I have probably written it before. When I worked full time, I had a Friday rule….”Don’t bring me any problems, unhappy stories, or prbolems on Friday night.” I would become furious if Bruce or Alex broke that rule. I looked forward to the weekend and I simply wanted to happily enter into it. I wanted to create the space I wanted to be in for the days I had off work.

The second experience I was given was one I have not thought of in a very long time. It is why I choose the above image. We used to vacation in Maui. Past the regular populated beaches there are some more desolate ones. They are public but without facilities. Along the road there was always a woman, perhaps in her 30’s, who had a food truck. She sat there every day under an umbrella. When there were no customers, she would read a book. I always felt like this was a life I would love.

Our message tells us that Happy is as Happy does. Rather than wait for the Universe to drop what we want in our lap, we need to be it or create the space for it. As we step to what it is we want the next step…then the next…then the next, etc. will show up in front of us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Set yourself up for the weekend you want. Create you happy space.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A video chat with Alex and Conner.

-Catching up with Shannon and Kathy.

-We approved a couple of scholarship winners for DKG.

-Spirit Jam with Collette Barton Reid.

-A great meditation.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
