For your consideration…

We often hear that many comedians are actually depressed people. Certainly, Robin Williams was a very funny man. It is also clear…now…that there was a lot we didn’t see. Probably most people were shocked when he committed suicide.

Our message today tells us that all of us wear masks. We wear them to “fit in” in various situations. Or maybe we put one on to “stand out.” Our best friends are our best friends because we don’t have to wear a mask around them. And if ever we do, that is a sign that there is something wrong. Our message today also tells us that we shouldn’t have to wear masks…for anyone. We should always be exactly who we are. We are a one-of-a-kind model put here to be that person.

Additionally, when we engage with other people, no matter the situation, we should strive to see the real person beyond the mask. That is where we will find the rest of the story. That is where we will find what is really going on. That is where we will find truth. That is where real progress, solutions, and relationships are made.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Look beyond the masks people are wearing.

What made me smile yesterday…

-My brother stopped by to see us and have dinner.

-Louie was so excited to see his cousin, Hans, and play.

-I have been struggling with so internet. I was sure it was time for a new router, (I’m impressed with myself that I even know that). Yesterday my new Eero came and I successfully installed it. Wahoo. Game on. I no longer need to put off coming in here and writing, etc.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
