For your consideration…

We often are reminded that where our attention goes our energy flows. Typically we are reminded in reference to manifesting. Today’s message is specific to focusing on people.

I have a nephew that everyone loves. When you talk to him, he looks at you and is completely engaged in your conversation. I think this focus is key to his success in his career and relationships.

Each day I try to remember to acknowledge the people that I have “caught up with” the day before in “The things that made me smile.” If we are blessed to have people in our lives that we care about and who care about us, it is important to be grateful for them. Today we are asked to think about that and how we make each other feel.

Specifically, we are asked, “Do we give each other the undivided attention we deserve?”

Certainly, we all fall short sometimes. More than likely it is dependent on what else is going on in our lives at the moment. The question is, what “habit” are we forming. How often do we interrupt or put someone on hold? Sometimes it can not be avoided. That is understood. But how many “emergency” or “important” calls do we get? With today’s technology, we can see who called and when. If it was really important…or sometimes not…they leave a message. We can get back to them. If we have children, do they know not to interrupt unless it is really important?

When this happens to us, when we are engaged in conversation, and we are asked to hold, how does it make us feel? Do we feel valued? Or do we feel like the “fill-in” when they don’t have anyone better to talk to? More than likely, that is not the case or their intent. But when it happens, the positive energy flow is stopped. The value of the conversation is simply no longer there.

Our message today simply asks us to be mindful and present when we engage with others. We should make each other feel they are treasured, important, and valued.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Focus on who we are engaging with.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful sunshiney day.

-A great walk.

-Catching up with Alex, James, and Shannon.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
