For your consideration…
Today the message came in with a question and a picture. The question was, “What do you know for sure?” The picture was an anchor.
What should anchor our lives is what we absolutely know for sure. So the question is absolutely we one that we have spent some time on. But have we? For example, we might say our spouse is our anchor…or our friends…or our job…our home. Certainly, all of these make us feel stable…anchored.
But if we dig deeper, we realize that none of them is for sure. They are a shifting anchor at best. People die, relationships end, jobs go away, we can lose our home or move from it. So our anchors do not always hold. Deep down we know this so why do we put our faith in them? And what is our real anchor?
If we dig deeper, we realize that our love for these things, people makes them feel like our anchor. So love is the real anchor. And what anchors love? Faith…unwavering…is what sets our anchor…what roots our love.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Remember what is real…love…anchor it in faith.
What made me smile yesterday…
-Sunshine.
-I started to figure out my new cricut machine.
-A couple of cards made.
-Catching up with Alex and Jackie.
-A little basement cleanup done.
