For your consideration…

We are sometimes reminded to always keep that story, memory, picture, etc. in our pocket that never fails to make us smile. It is a handy tool.

We are also often reminded that the Universe is remarkable in how it keeps in balance and how our lives reflect that even when we don’t understand the hows and whys.

Today is a little bit different. We are told that we can weight comfort and joy scales in our favor. We don’t have to wait until something happens to find a counterbalance. We can choose to fill our lives with comfort and joy. In gratitude, we can identify them and choose to incorporate more of them into our lives.

Examples;

If walking in nature brings us comfort and joy, do more of it. If chatting with friends brings us comfort and joy, do more of it.

If loving on or playing with our pets brings us comfort and joy, do more of it.

If meditating/praying brings us comfort and joy, do more of it.

If reading brings us comfort and joy, do more of it. If memories bring us comfort and joy, sit down with some pictures.

If singing and dancing bring us comfort and joy, sing and dance around the house. We don’t have to wait for other people or an event.

You get the picture. The things that fill our heart with comfort and joy is different for each of us. But each of us has the power and control to fill our hearts with them.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Keeping our hearts full of comfort and joy.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Sunshine.

-Catching up with Jackie.

-Bruce still has an aide for this week and PT. Next week I am back on my own.

-A good book.

-Slowly but surely getting the Christmas decorations back to the basement. Thankfully my injured ankle is corroporating.

-I have to chuckle at the ingenuity of teenagers. Will told me that AJ and his friends have been putting the generator I gave them on the ice fishing sled to the pond in the woods. They have been lighting it up for some nighttime hockey playing.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
