“Winter Solstice” Josephine Wall

For your consideration…

Today is the winter solstice. It is the longest night of the year…holds the longest darkness. It is an opportunity to let go creating space for us to grow with the expanding light. Think about how all of the great religions celebrate the lightness coming out of the darkness. That is what we are doing today.

Collectively this has been another tough year. We have been bombarded with a lot of chaos, strong opinions, demands. But we are coming out of that darkness. We see our own light shining on our own two feet, clearing and crystalizing our own thinking. We understand that standing in our own power and truth…without judgment…is not only for our highest good but the highest good of all.

Tonight we are invited to look at our relationships and values. What is worth keeping and expanding? What needs to be let go? Celebrate the expanding light.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate the longest night of the year and the opportunity it brings.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful sunny day.

-Louie and I got a much-needed walk.

-Catching up with Dianne and Alex.

-A good book.

-Baking.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
