Never Saw That Coming

For your consideraiton…

“I never saw that coming.”

How many times have we said or thought that? Perhaps it is about something difficult or perhaps something funny. I choose the above picture because it is light-hearted which is how today’s message came in.

Our message asks us, “Why were we surprised?” In reality, we should never be surprised. We never know what is going to happen next. We make plans and control our lives as much as we can but our best-laid plans can and often do go astray. Life happens…just as it is supposed to whether it is how we planned it or not. We can bemoan this fact and be fearful. Or we can look back and remember that this has always been this way. We have rolled right on through every surprise, everything we never saw coming, and here we are on the other side. We have the experience and wisdom behind us to show us we will keep on rolling right on through every little thing we never see coming.

We are asked to choose to be excited…be confident…for the next thing, we don’t see coming.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Roll with the flow. Roll with the next thing we don’t see coming.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Chilling at home on Monday in PJ’s.

-A good book.

-Catching up with Mary and Alex.

-A beautiful sunny day complete with sparkly snow.
