For your consideration…

Wow. I shouldn’t ever be surprised but I am stunned on the affirmations that I seem to be getting every day. Just this morning I woke up thinking about a piece I am writing for a project my daughter, Alex, started last Mother’s Day. I got out of bed to write the thoughts down so I would not forget them. Then as I meditated for our blog today, a similar message came up.

We are given a task today. At first thought, it will seem easy. But before we let it go, many of us will find more to it and probably have difficulty narrowing it down.

The task is this. If I had one thing I wanted to leave for others, family, friends, strangers, what would it be? What is that big lesson I would pass on? What is the most important thing I could say to someone?  What is that critical piece of knowledge I want to be remembered, never forgotten?

Here is the thing. It is not an essay we are being asked to write. It is one or two sentences only. See the challenge? Boiling it down is the difficult task. Deciding what is most important is probably going to be difficult for some of us. Personally, I have been mulling it around all day. However, this challenge will be rewarding. It helps us to narrow down what is really important.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Do the challenge that has been asked of us.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Catching up with both of my girls.

-Sunshine. I wasn’t going to do the front porch but one thing led to another and voila, the porch is set for the holidays.

-Louie coming in from the snow with snowballs all over his fur. I am sure he felt uncomfortable but he looked funny.

-A good book.

-Some more decorating done. I’m almost there.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
