For your consideration…

For whatever reason, I could not find any pictures of the many many I must-have of my daughter and her swim team. I wanted to use one of them because it is how today’s message came in. For time’s sake, I pulled this one off of the shelf.

Sports give our children the opportunity to learn many life lessons. One of the things I like about swimming is that it is a team sport. However, the time you are trying to beat is your own. It is a never-ending process. You are constantly trying to beat your own best time.

Swimming is given to us today as an example. Life is a team sport. We are all in this together. The very best way we can contribute is to constantly try to “beat” our best selves.  In other words, every day we need to do our best to be better than the day before. Somedays we will succeed and others we may not. But the dedicated and consistant pursuit of this goal is for not only our highest good but the highest good of all…our team.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be better today than we were yesterday.

What made me smile yesterday…

A beautiful sunny day.

-Catching up with my neighbor, Joan.

-Kathy came by for a visit.

-Working on pulling the holiday dinner together.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
