For your consideration…

Each of us at different times, for different reasons, wish we had more time, could get back time, could control time. We know we can’t but wish we could have a moment back…a do-over or could control a future moment.

Our message today was brought in via the Jim Croce song, “Time in a Bottle.” It is appropriate for all days but certainly on Veteran’s Day.

I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I’d like to do
Is to save everyday ’til eternity passes away
Just to spend it with you
And if I could make days last forever
And if words could make wishes come true
We’d walk through the fields of ripening corn
And time would flow through us and you
And I’d save everyday like a treasure and then
Again and again I’d spend them with you
And I’ve looked around enough to know
You’re the one I wanna go through time with (ooh-ooh)
Through time with (ooh-ooh)
Through time with
If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty except for the memory
Of how they were answered by you
So if only I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I’d like to do
Is to save everyday ’til eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you
And I’d save everyday like a treasure and then
Again and again I’d spend them with you (spend them with you)
I’ve looked around enough to know
You’re the one I wanna go through time with (ooh-ooh)
Through time with (ooh-ooh)
Through time with
We are simply asked to remember that we can not control time but we can take charge of the moment we are in and remember those who are most dear to us.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Remember who is most important to us.
What made me smile yesterday…
-A beautiful fall day.
-A quick visit with Don.
-Catching up with Shannon.
-Dinner with Vickie and Julie.
Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,
