To Each His Own
For your consideration…
We all do it. We all compare ourselves to others. We judge ourselves for better or worse. How often have we told another person, “Wow, I could never do that.” Perhaps we can not or at least do it as well. But we have other talents to contribute.
But today we are reminded that our judgment is from ego. It is not real and ultimately does not serve us well. Instead, we are asked to focus on our own talents. Focus on what we are good at. Chances are it plays a role in our life purpose in some way, shape, or form. Perhaps it draws people to us or helps us form relationships. Perhaps it is a way for us to “give back” in charity. Perhaps, it is our career.
We each have unique talents to be used in uniques ways. Wishing we had someone else’s is wasting time better served for fine-tuning, expanding, and sharing the talents and gifts we were blessed with.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?’
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Develop our talents and share them.
What made me smile yesterday…
-A beautiful day.
-My solar seems to be working well. I am still learning but feel I am figuring it out and what to expect as in who knew how powerful the sun was on a cloudy day?
-A couple of hours out and I managed to return one of the bags of cans I have in my garage, go to Sam’s for a pickup, order some gifts online, and grab a bite to eat. Not bad for two hours.
-Paid bills. Love having that done for the month.
-A new book.
Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
