For your consideration…

There is a lot of political angst right now surrounding what our children are being taught in school and who should have the say. Of course, I am very opinionated on the subject but that is not what this blog is about. It is about HOPE. Often we feel we are losing HOPE. We feel at a loss on what we can do.

Our message today tells us that there is a lot we can do…every one of us. Today’s message starts with the child. No matter what our opinion is on what is going on, this remains true. Each one of us has the responsibility to nourish the inner spirit of each child that comes in our path. Every action we do, everything we say, should be full of love and encouragement. When we look at, speak to, interact with a child, they should feel loved and full of HOPE. We can change the world, one child at a time.

Yesterday I shared with some colleagues a song from the Inner Explorer Mindfulness program.

“When I look up, I see the whole world shining.

When I look down, I feel the earth that’s mine.

When I look out, I touch everything.

When I look in, I can hear my heart sing.”

Every child should feel like this as should the inner child in each of us. Our inner child needs the same love, sense of belonging, encouragement, and HOPE we have needed since we were a small child ourselves.

We are asked today to nourish every child as well as the inner child of ourselves and others.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Nourish yourself, others, and every child.

What made me smile yesterday…

-We saw the sun for a lot of the day.

-Great posts from Alex.

-A wonderful Zoom meeting with my Living With the Angels group.

-A couple of good books.

-Catching up with Bob.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
