For your consideration…

How many times do we look at someone, hear someone, and be awed? We wonder how they could do that. We think I could never do it.

And to some extent it is true. We are all born with different talents. I often have friends say they think that cooking a dinner for a crowd is difficult. I find it easy and fun. My friend, Janet, thinks knitting is easy. But she has found out how hard it is trying to teach me. What she finds easy, I find impossible. I love to go walking in different places but thinking of them, where to go, stymies me. My friend, Julie, always has good ideas.

Now we can look at people and see the negative things they do and think I would never do that. Certainly, that is true. More often than not, I think that every time I hear politicians. But that is not what today’s message is about.

It is very specific. We are asked to look at each other and see, really see and hear, what they are good at. Admire their talent. Be vocal about it. Appreciate it. Be grateful for it. Learn from it. We are not only blessed with our talent, we are also blessed with each others.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Look for the time and talent in others. Look for the good.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Bruce’s doctor was able to do a Zoom call when I was unable to get him into the car.

-Support from both of our girls to do what I think is best.

-Another warm day in October. What a beautiful month it has been.

-A good book.

-Catching up with both my girls and Jackie.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
