For your consideration…

Yikes, it looked like a scene out of a Hitchcock movie. This picture is not taken in my yard. I couldn’t get to my camera fast enough. But trust me, my yard looked just like this…an invasion. I would have had to be blind to miss this message.

We have had messages over the last few days about balance. We are given the Grackle today to draw our attention specifically to our emotions and emotional state. So we might ask ourselves where we are having difficulties. Then we might drill down on that. Take a step back and asl. “Is everything as it seems?” “Are my emotions coloring my thinking?” “Am I guilty of rehashing over and over not allowing myself to let it go or see it more clearly from a different perspective?”

We are asked to look at what is bothering us…emotionally. Look at it. Step back and look at it again. Ask, “Is it worth the emotional energy I am giving it?”

Our message today tells us that emotional stress can actually cause us physical illness. We need to recognize when our emotions are out of balance and bring them back in check. Meditate/pray…ask…for guidance. The Grackle likes to live high up in Pine trees. They remind us that the scent of pine helps us release emotional tension. Consider bringing in the scent of pine to help release and rebalance our emotions.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Release tension.

-Examine our emotions and rebalance them.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Wow, what a beautiful warm fall day. Love it.

-A good book.

-Mary and Don came for dinner.

-Catching up with Alex.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
