For your consideration…

When we think about blessings, we often think big. There is nothing wrong with that. But…there is always a but…a balance…we can tend to not notice the little blessings. We can fail to notice that we are given many blessings. We are surrounded by them on any given day.

They are the little surprise and delights. Think about that unexpected rainbow or a yard full of grackles like I had yesterday. How about that unexpected phone call from a friend or family member? Or maybe you turn around to find a brilliant smile on a child’s face directed at you. Perhaps you find something that you lost and have given up HOPE of finding. Unexpected money is always a nice surprise and a delightful blessing.

You get the message. Each day we are given many little blessings. They often come disguised as little surprise and delights.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Notice the blessings we receive today. They are a sure way to make us feel special.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful warm and sunny fall day. So unexpected for October but so welcome.

-A good book.

-Catching up with Mary.

-Lots of chores done. We’re getting ready for Alex, Conner and James’ visit.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
