For your consideration…

I have sat with this message all day. I kept thinking there is more. But I guess not.

Our message is actually a task. We are asked to take a piece of paper and divide it up into quadrants. Each quadrant is a season; fall, winter, spring, summer. In each season we are to identify what brings us comfort and joy.

Our message tells us that when we are asked what brings us comfort and joy, we are quick to rattle off things like love, family, friends, etc. Certainly, these are big things. But we are being asked to drill down farther. We are being asked what WE do that brings us comfort. How do we self-soothe? We are also reminded that these things change…often with the seasons. A good example is we may sit outside with our coffee in the summer or by the fire in the winter.

As the seasons change, we are reminded that we need to change as well. Change is always easier when we know what brings us comfort and joy. So today we are asked to spend some time thinking about that.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?’

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Think about what brings us comfort and joy in each season.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Another beautiful day. Plenty of sunshine.

-Arrangements made for Bruce so I can go out and meet our new grandson, Conner.

-Catching up with Shannon.

-Dinner out with Jul. So much fun.

-Some crafting done.

-I love the card my friend, Janet, sent me.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
