For your consideration…

At first, I thought today’s message was about the changing of the seasons and how we move through that. But today’s message is different. It is about the rhythm of lives as we move throughout it and with or even despite the seasons.

There is a rhythm to the Universe, Mother Earth, each of us, our bodies, our spirits. There are highs and lows, peaks and valleys, etc. It is up to us to try and balance them out and keep the flow open and smooth.

We feel it. We know when we are in sync and when we are not. We know when we are in balance and when we are not. We feel when we are stagnant and when we are productive. We feel when we are doing what we should and when we are not. Our spirit knows.

Our message today tells us that regardless of the season, we need to follow the rhythm of OUR life. We need to pay attention to what we are being called to do…what we need.

Are we stagnant? What can we do to get moving? Identify what we need to get done. Make a list. Tackle something to give ourselves a jumpstart. Don’t judge what it is. Just get something done.

Are we doing too much? Are we running ourselves ragged? Then STOP. Take a break. Take some downtime.

The point is, pay attention to the rhythm of our lives and do what it takes to keep it flowing. Meditation can help some people. Some people dance with wild abandon. Some people drum. Some people exercise, Some people escape in a book. Some people write. Whatever works for us is perfect. The most important thing is that we are aware of the status of our spirit’s rhythm and we know how to take action to keep it flowing smoothly.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pay…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Pay attention to the rhythm of our spirit and what we need to keep it humming along.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Jody watched Bruce so I could see AJ play soccer. It is his senior year and I hate that I can not get out to watch him play.

-Seeing Shannon and other friends.

-Catching up with Alex.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
