For your consideration…

I did not take this picture but I could have. As I meditated for today’s message, I was drawn to the sound right next to me of this exact same thing…a bee sucking up the pollen of my moonflower. It made me giggle. It sounded like JOY. As I returned to meditation, that is the message I was given….sounds of comfort and joy.

We have lots of messages about our senses, paying attention to what is put in front of us, going within, etc. Our focus is not usually on sound. I’m not sure why because sound helps bring clarity.

Our message today reminds us to pay attention to and be grateful for the sound that brings us comfort and joy. Probably TMI, (but I just write what I hear) a good lover pays attention to his/her partner’s sounds for clues on what is bringing pleasure. The purr of a cat, that wagging of dog’s tail or bark, a baby sucking its bottle or thumb, etc. are all sounds that indicate comfort and joy. Personally, I love the sound of waves and my wind chimes. When my attention is drawn to them, it gives me pause to soak up that comfort and joy we are being reminded of.

So today’s message is not tough. It is a light-hearted reminder to enjoy the sounds that bring us comfort and joy. They are a blessing.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Listen to the sounds of comfort and joy put around us.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Bruce is in a good mood. That makes me happy.

-Louis is in good hands out at the Gordon’s.

-Some errands run while I can get out to do them with Bruce safe at the hospital.

-A good mystery.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
