If I Could Turn Back Time – Braced By Truth

For your consideration…

…turn back time.

Ahhh, a song I recognize when it was given to me. It is Cher’s, “If I Could Turn Back Time.” In part;

If I could turn back time
If I could find a way
I’d take back those words that’ve hurt you
And you’d stay

I don’t know why I did the things I did
I don’t know why I said the things I said
Pride’s like a knife it can cut deep inside
Words are like weapons they wound sometimes…

We all have said and done things we wish we could take back. But time marches on and we have a choice. We can choose to live in regret or we can choose to turn regrets into lessons. We can choose to learn from not only our words and actions but also how we feel about them after. Without judgment, there is no intentional or non-intentional. What is done is done. What we have in this moment is an opportunity with the benefit of hindsight. We can choose to do better, be better. Perhaps take a deep breath before we speak or act.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of regrets and live fully and present in this moment.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Tough choice made. Decided to call EMS and let the hospital figure out what is going on with Bruce. Relieved to let someone else try and figure it out.

-A good walk.

-Dinner with Shannon, Will, and Mac.

-Relieved to have someone to take Louie while I tackle the hospital.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
