For your consideration…

Hmmm. subtle. What is the first thing that comes to your mind? I thought peaceful. I think people who can get tough messages across subtlely as having a gift.

Like most everything, there are two sides to subtle, pros and cons. Today’s message cautions us. It tells us that sometimes, without meaning to, we send a different message than what we intended. Our body language, facial expressions, words, etc. do not match what we intend. Are we saying ok when we want to say no? Are we smiling but miserable inside? Are we telling people they can do something when we don’t really think they can? We may think that we are covering well but often we are not. Even if people don’t know what is off, they know something is not right.

But there is more today, a more important part of today’s message. Consider the above examples. Going with the themes of self-care we have had the last few days, we are asked to consider that we can also subtlely give ourselves mixed messages. We can tell ourselves one thing but let the ego whisper something else. We are asked to pay attention to the subtle messages we get. Make sure they are in sync with who we really are.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Pay attention to subtle.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A morning walk and then an evening one with Louie.

-A beautiful day.

-Some crafting done.

-A new book.

-Catching up with both of my girls.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
