For your consideration…

FIFO seems like an odd message. FIFO is an accounting/manufacturing term. It stands for first in, first out. Generally, it is undesirable to let inventory, assets get old.

So how can that relate to us? I guess we could interpret the message as meaning to use our gifts while we have them…use it or lose it. We have probably all heard that phrase. But today’s message is about taking care of ourselves.

Quite simply it means that if we want to be the first person to help…to be our best self…then we have to take care of ourselves first. We have to nourish our body, minds, and spirit first before we can be our best selves for others.

We are heading into the weekend. Use this opportunity to spoil and pamper ourselves…recharge our batteries. Fill it with love, joy, and laughter.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Put bare feet on Mother Earth.

-Pamper ourselves.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Finally getting ahold of Jackie.

-Catching up with both of my girls and Carol.

-A funny book.

-I love our new barbeque.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
