For your consideration…

Isn’t this little boy too adorable for words? But there is no doubt he has his moments just like everyone else.

Today I was shown many of my students as an example of today’s message. Every class has one or two who are a handful. Their behavior needs to be consistently corrected. Still often those students are my favorites. Their adventurous, open, and kind heart never fails to capture my heart even when they are naughty.

Our message today reminds us to look deeper. We may not like someone’s actions but what about their intentions? What is the intention of their spirit? Do they intend to be mean or are they hurt? Do they realize the message their actions convey? There is more to their story. What is it?

We are asked today to always look for the spirit…the essence of those who cross our path.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Put bare feet to Mother Earth.

-Look for the essence of souls…the intention.

What made me smile yesterday…

-I forgot to mention yesterday that Bruce’s PT did a dry run with me using a ramp that I had bought. It is not ideal but we worked with it until we came up with a plan on how I could get Bruce out of the house, into the car, and to his doctor’s appointment. We ended up practicing on each other and I have to say it was a bit scary…for both of us. However, we decided on the best plan of action and I did it yesterday. I explained to Bruce that it would be a bit scary but I had him and he would be ok. He looked a little doubtful when I made him put on his transfer chair seatbelt. But we got it done. Whew.

-Vicki came over for dinner.

-Heartland sent a nurse in to check on Bruce. She was confused as to why she was here. Us too. She was a week too late and I suspect Heartland just wants to cover their bases. I smile because everyone that comes in seems surprised that basically we aren’t idiots and we have found ways to manage and cope.

-Kathy came over and we got lots of stuff for the shower done. It is fun to work with a friend.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
