For your consideration…

Our message today compares judging a book by its cover to listening to the loudest voice. It seems like we have had a message like this recently. Evidently, we are not paying attention or who needs to hear it didn’t.

We are told today that if we listen to the loudest person without paying attention to everyone else, we can miss a lot. Indeed, silence can speak volumes. It is easiest to look at the cover and make judgments. Just as it is easiest to listen to the loudest person or those who interrupt our train of thought. That is why so much money is spent on marketing.

But we are asked to be smarter than that. We are asked not to take the easiest road. We are asked to use all of our senses to understand what is in our path at any given moment.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Pay attention using all of our senses.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day that just seemed too short.

-Our last planning meeting for Alex’s baby shower. Hilary is a rock star.

-Catching up with both my girls, Dianne, Kathy, and Jackie .

-Coolers all washed out.

-Kathy and I laugh…it is not funny to anyone else…it is a good day if our husbands do not take a fall. It was a good day yesterday.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
