For your consideration…

I did not realize how hard it would be to find an image to perfectly reflect today’s message. I used the above one because I love it and because in my search this morning lots and lots of images and quotes came up about “silently screaming inside. So I am thinking that this is the second part of today’s message.

Today’s message is about speaking up…shouting. Many of us…(Well, not me. Personally, I have no issue speaking up…loudly if necessary.) But some of us do. We don’t like to raise a scene or call attention to ourselves. So we seeth inside. Or even the opposite, we are reluctant to show over the moon excitement, love, and joy.

We are not being asked today to go around shouting all of the time. But we are being asked to raise our voices when we need to be heard and we are having difficulty getting someone(s) attention. After all, even got has been know to do really big things, loud things, to get our attention. When we need to, we need to shout out what needs to be heard. It is not good for us to to bottle things up and keep them inside. That is a sure path to depression, sadness, and loneliness. So SHOUT IT OUT when you need to.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Shout when you need to.

What made me smile yesterday…

-It was a tough day but way better than the day before taking care of Bruce.

-A beautiful day. I took breaks throughout the day to pause and sit outside.

-I got a baby quilty made.

-Catching up with both of my girls.

-A good book.

-A beautiful card from Becky.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev.Chris
