For your consideration…

I suspect we have all heard this saying. It’s humor gives us the feel of today’s message.

We set goals. We make plans. My Mom had another saying she used, “hell bent for election.” I add it today because we have had many messages about goals. Our message today is a light-hearted way to look at it but at the same time give our “methods” some consideration.

“Hell bent for election” means we can feverishly pursue a goal to the point of recklessness. Or as we have heard lately, we can be so focused on the path to our goal that we close ourselves off to a better path or even goal.

There is more than one way to skin a cat. Just because things don’t seem to be working out as we planned does not mean they are not going to work out for our highest good. We need to stay open to the help of our Guidance and have Faith that all is indeed well.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Exercise our body, mind, and spirit.

What made me smile yesterday…

-I will admit snow was a bit disappointing this late in April but it was a stunningly beautiful morning to wake up to.

-I am feeling confident that our new puppy that was so sick a week ago, is going to be ok. He lost a lot of weight but is gaining again, playing, and is once again very happy.

-Our daughter, Alex, is home for a short visit. We are so happy to see her.

-Mary and Don came for dinner.

-Catching up with Kathy and Shannon. Kathy gave me a good lead on health care helpers which I desperately need.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
