For your consideration…

You just have to love Dr. Seuss. For sure, I felt like I was the main target of today’s message. But as I sat with it, I was reminded of recent statistics about depression in children and adults. The world for sure has been turned upside down in the last year and a half. So today’s message reminds us to buck up. We may have troubles but there are others who definitely have more.

Still, that is not the predominant message for today. We are given a Dr. Steve Maraboli quote;

“I am so grateful for my troubles. As I reflect back on my life, I have come to realize that my greatest triumphs have been born of my greatest troubles.”

Our troubles…obstacles put in our path…are opportunities for us to learn and grow. They are contrasts to our joys, love, triumphs. They are sometimes the kick in the butt we need to see how lucky we are. Or they force us into change.

Finally, we are not alone. The world is in a state of transition. There is not a part of it that has been unaffected this past year. It is adjusting. We are adjusting. What feels too big to handle, we simply must let go and let God. Let the empty space they leave behind be filled with the blessings that await us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take.

-Count your blessings…and troubles.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Sunshine.

-Friends…and our zoom PJ Party.

-Mary.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
