Isn’t He/She terrific?

For your consideration…

I don’t know the name or title of the above piece but it showed up when I searched for images of “compassion.” To me, through the tree of life, it symbolizes compassion from life to life…the flow from all things to all things. I love this piece.

This image is like the chicken and the egg. Who gave first? We do know that it doesn’t matter. What is important is that the energy…in this case compassion…is flowing both ways without blockages.

Compassion is free. We were born with the seeds of it in our life toolbox. But it is up to us to hone and grow it. We see examples of it as we grow and adopt them into our own lives.

One thing we know about compassion is that it needs a soft soul, a free soul, a growing soul. It requires that we look at situations from the soul. We can never have too much compassion but it, like anything else, requires balance. We must be careful not to smother others with it. And we must remember to have compassion for ourselves.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Live with compassion for ourselves and others.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-My dermatology appointment went great.

-We know Bruce’s medical alert button works.

-Catching up with Alex.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
