For your consideration…

Patience is a virtue.” How many times have we heard that over our lifetime? How patient we are varies with each of us. And I must say it changes. Personally, I am a work in progress. I have come a long way but have a long way to go. Let’s be honest. There are some rewards to impatience. Impatience motivates us to action. But like everything, there needs to be balance.

Our message today has a very narrow scope on patience. We know that everything happens in Divine Timing. Our message sort of piggy banks on a message we had yesterday or one day this week. It was about letting go.

Today as we focus on patience we are asked to not only let go and trust but to also notice the details. As we patiently wait for something or someone, notice all that unfolds and happens while we do. Notice the process. Notice how our life is set up to receive our HOPEs and dreams. As I write this, I am hearing laughter and the this saying, “The devil is in the details.”

There is a purpose and plan for each of us. We may think, “I want it and I want it now. However, our message tells us today that if that happened, we would lose many lessons, people, joy, surprises, gifts, etc. We would just have skipped right over much of our life.

Patience is a virtue, a gift that keeps on giving.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Notice the gifts we receive while we patiently wait.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Sunshine.

-A nice craft fair.

-I picked out my puppy. Sooo excited.

-Catching up with Jackie and Alex.

-I almost deleted a book but it is turning around. I don’t know why I can’t just let a book go if I am having a hard time reading it.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
