For your consideration…

It is natural to want to help people. It is natural to want to do for the people we love. It is natural to want to do things for people. Many of us are natural nurturers.

Once again, we are reminded of boundaries and balance.

Think about babies. We encourage them. We hold them up to help them get the feel of balance to learn to crawl or walk. But eventually we have to let go. We encourage them to trust themselves and find the courage to try on their own. This small example is the recipe for life.

No matter the age, we are still learning and growing….all of us. Some of us are more courageous than others. But all of us have to let go and try. There is no failure. No matter what happens, we are learning and growing.

Nurturers have to be willing to let go even when it is easier to do it for them. Let go even if they are scared. Let go even when they want to hang on. Let go even when it is painful to do so. It is our job to encourage….not to enable.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Help but don’t enable.

What made me smile yesterday….

-An absolutely perfect day.

-Water aerobics.

-Catching up with Dianne.

-Dinner on the beach.

-A good book.
