For your consideration…

I used to do this as a kid….eat dessert first. It was a motivator for me. As I grew older, the opposite was true. We change. What works for us changes.

Our message today is asking us to pause and think about what works for us. What motivates us?

Some people want to get the tough tasks, the ones they are dreading out of the way first. They are motivated to get to the downhill ones, the ones they like, know how to do…the easy ones. Other people do just the opposite. They tackle all of the easy tasks in order to focus on the hard ones. They clear their plate to make it easier to see and tackle the hard tasks.

It doesn’t matter the method that works for us. What does matter is that we know what does and we follow it. If we don’t, we fall into procrastination. Procrastination is what ends up causing us stress and can make us unhappy or even ill.

We are asked today to follow what works for us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Follow your plan…it will make you confident when changes and opportunities show up.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Yeah, cards done.

-A good book completed.

-Catching up for a minute with Jackie.

-Vickie and I completed watching the Netflix series, “Surviving Death.” that my brother recommended.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
