The Star of Bethlehem in 2020 | benebell wen

For your consideration…

First, a reminder. In the southwest sky shortly after sundown, we will be able to see the Star of Bethlehem for the first time in 800 years. Count us blessed.

I thought it the perfect example for today’s message. Our message was given to me as the tag line I put on all of my emails. I love it because it is a great reminder. It is exactly this’

“Realize the moment and make it count for God has made it perfect.”

Every moment, the good, the bad, and the ugly, is perfect. We are exactly where we are supposed to be at the exact moment we are supposed to be there, and fully equipped to deal with it. It is perfect.

If we can remember to fully stay in it, fully experience it, and BELIEVE in it, we will grow exponentially in love, faith, HOPE, and peace.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drin lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths….everyday.

-Fully experience the moment.

-Get outside tonight and look for the Star of Bethlehem.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A walk chatting it up with good friends, Dianne and Jul, through Lily Park.

-Having James, Alex, and Moose here.

-A good book.

-A great dinner. I like to cook and I like when I have people to cook for. I rarely go to grocery stores anymore choosing to order in my groceries. However, last week I had to go to Costco to use an expiring coupon. Of course, I ended up spending $198 over the $102 coupon I had. Yikes. That just goes to show that the delivery price of having groceries delivered is much cheaper. But that is not what made me smile. One of my impulse purchases was a packaged Chautibriand. I saw a man stand there forever debating and I just thought, “What the heck? I’m going for it. It is something I can have in the frig for when Alex and James are here.” That turned out to be last night’s dinner. OMG. It was delicious. It took 22 minutes to cook and 5 minutes to rest. So easy. So elegant. So delicious. I went to the recycle to get the label to remember it so I can buy it again. That’s when I noticed the price. I was thinking it was $18.99. It turns out it was almost $35. Now I know why the man stood there so long debating it. I would not have bought it if I had seen the right price. But I am blessed that I didn’t. It was easily a $30 per person dinner in a restaurant. And we had enough leftovers to make a delicious breakfast.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
