For your consideration…

Yesterday I gave a reading and one of the messages was, “What is old is new and what is new is old.” So I was surprised when it came up again in our message.

We have often joked about holding onto clothes long enough that they come back into style…what is old is new and what is new is old. Our message today wants us to consider a different example. It wants us to consider lifestyle.

The pandemic has forced us to eliminate some gatherings, congregate in smaller groups, or cancel events altogether. Like our ancestors, many of us are working from home. Like our ancestors, it is a long time before we gather with friends and loved ones. Like our ancestors, we are eating daily meals with our immediate family again. Like our ancestors, we are not gathering with our extended family for holiday dinners. Like our ancestors, there are not numerous holiday parties to attend.

We are asked to think about that and consider that this forced revisit to lifestyle is not all bad. Perhaps we can focus on the old. Our ancestors felt blessed and full of joy in their small intimate gatherings.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate the blessings we do have.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A great walk through the woods in the snow with Jul.

-Finally, some snow that is sticking.

-Catching up with Cathy.

-James made it to Cheyenne, WY yesterday and will start from there today. We’ll see him and Moose today or tomorrow.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
