For your consideration…

We have a lot of messages about “going with the flow” or “looking forward.” Today’s message is a little bit different.

There is a difference between going with the flow and looking forward than “running away from something.”

Anyone who has driven a boat knows that you have to work with the current and also you have to make the current work for you. When trying to dock a boat in a place where there is a current, you drive against the current into a dock or slip.

We are given that example today to remind us that sometimes we have to turn around. Sometimes we have to face our obstacles…our fears. Sometimes we have to turn around, confront them, stand up to them, and make them work for us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Sometimes that step is to turn around and face whatever we are running from.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Leftovers, of course.

-A good book.

-A trip to the nail salon.

-Christmas cards mailed.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
