4 Spiritual Growth Goals You Need This Year | Prayer & Possibilities

For your consideration…

I love children. I love their spirit, enthusiasm, HOPE, joy for life. Can they be difficult? Yes…pushing limits is their job. It helps them grow. As adults, parents, and teachers, it is our job to set the limits. It is our job to keep them safe from going beyond the point of their capabilities, common sense, and knowledge. And while they may protest, deep down we make them feel safe…safe to push and grow because we are their safety net.

Today we are reminded that we are all children. The unexpected bumps in the road, trials and tribulations, change to our plans, etc., is our Creator keeping us safe and on track. When we are disappointed or frustrated, we are asked to remember and stand in our Faith.

I love this quote. I had forgotten it until I came across it again today so I thought I would share it. It is by Tagore.

“Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.”

That is the HOPE. That is our HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take.

-Affirm…“I am loved.” Have Faith and know it.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Push and grow. You have a safety net.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A great Thanksgiving with Don and Mary.

-James and Alex called.

-The day was easy and relaxed. Cooking was easy, clean up was easy.

-A good book and early bedtime.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
