For your consideration…
Throughout our life, we play many different roles. Depending on the situation determines the role we play. Sometimes we need a comforting shoulder while other times we supply the comforting shoulder. Sometimes we are the worker bee and sometimes we are the queen bee. You get the picture.
Our message today reminds us that we know this. Yet sometimes we forget our role. Sometimes it is too painful to just listen and we jump into the fixer role. Sometimes we need to be the listener but we jump into the advisor role. Whether because it is because it ispainful to watch or listen or it is just easier to do it ourselves, or we want to be generous etc. etc. etc., we forget our role.
Forgeting our role is what leads us astray. It is when we cross the line that we get into trouble. We forget that each of us has lessons to learn. When we cross the role line, we prevent the learning that is taking place. That in of itself is a lesson for each of us. Sometimes it is our role to learn the lesson and sometimes our role is to support the student while they learn their own lesson.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Play our own role.
What made me smile yesterday…
-An early morning trip to the Eastern Market with my friend Jul.
-A trip out to Will and Shannon’s to drop their goods off and give Will his birthday present.
-Setting up the outdoor xmas lights on a beautiful sunny day.
-Some more decorating.
-Catching up with Jackie.
-A good book.
