For your consideration…

This Thanksgiving is not what most of us expected. Traditions have been altered or abandoned. But we are reminded that the Pilgrims did not get what they expected either. Life was hard. Many didn’t make it. Then they were blessed with Squanto who showed who spoke English, was not bitter, was able to teach them many things, and brought the local tribe of Native Americans to them in peace. This was the spirit of the first Thanksgiving…gratitude.

This Thanksgiving may be different than what we had planned but we have much to be grateful and thankful for. Let’s think about the spirit of the Pilgrims, Squanto, Chief Massasoit, and the Pokanoket tribe. They not only choose peace but found a way to celebrate it in fellowship.

We are Blessed.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be Blessed…be Grateful…Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A peaceful day at home.

-Lots of cooking done. I love cooking and especially love it when I can go at a fun and easy pace.

-A good book.

-HGTV, DIY, Lifetime etc., the channels that always have positive and uplifting choices to watch.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
