For your consideration…

Again, this message came in quick and very strong. When this happens, my sense is that it is very important and usually vital to someone right now. However, it is a good message for all of us.

We tend to think or our judgment decides for us that sometimes the truth hurts. Certainly, this is true. We have all experienced it in various relationships and situations. The truth can hurt.

Our message today wants us to focus on the flip side of “when the truth hurts.” It wants us to pause and think about why it hurts. Perhaps we are disappointed, plans have fallen through, someone is not who we thought they were, there was deception, perhaps even lawbreaking, etc. Whatever the reason, the truth can hurt. But we must ask ourselves “Why does it hurt?”

The why is the flip side. We are asked to focus on why the truth hurts us. It hurts because our best self, our inner being, our soul is alive and well and it recognizes truth. Despite the lies and deception, it celebrates truth. Truth is essential to the well-being of our core.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate the truth even when it hurts.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful sunny day.

-Catching up with my sister, Lori.

-Catching up with both my girls and Jackie.

-Cardmaking.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
