For your consideration…

I was given this example for today’s message. It is a minor example but I think I got it because I have often used the words. We often rent vacation rentals. My idea of vacation…clearly not that of others…is to stay in one place, get up early, get some swimming and sunning in, take a shower, put on PJ’s, cook dinner, and settle in with a good book. We go out to eat sometimes but not every day. Consequently, I take or buy supplies to vacation accordingly. Normally, when you rent a place they leave you enough supplies ie; soap, paper products, water etc. to get you started until you can shop. I always leave a place clean and with more supplies than I started with.

Our message today is exactly that, “Leave every encounter better than when it started. That means in EVERYTHING..all things…people, places, things ALL OF THE TIME, whether you like them or not. No one says it is easy, but it should be a priority goal for our highest good and the highest good of all.

That is HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Leave every encounter better than when you entered it.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Another very beautiful and warm day.

-My friend, Jul, called me and reminded me we had talked about walking. So I jumped into gear and away we went in shorts on a November day. Who could have guessed?

-Catching up with Shannon and finally getting, Will’s birthday and Christmas list. He is the last one. Ahhh. I will definitely make my goal of Christmas shopping done by Thanksgiving. I can relax into the holidays with joy.

-Christmas cards completed ready for mailing the day after Thanksgiving.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
