For your consideration…

HOPEfully most of us had the blessing of one or two loving parents, siblings. And HOPEfully we have the blessing of honest and truthful friends. Relationships are the example used for today’s message.

I often say to parents, “It is a child’s job to push the limits. It is how they grow. It is up to parents/adults to put the appropriate limits in place.” Children can rebel but deep down inside they feel safe pushing those limits because they know that the people who love them will keep them safe.

So too it is with us. We can push the limits. We may not always feel in control. We may…will…screw up sometimes. There are times when we make a real mess of things. But we don’t have to worry and fret. Our God loves us. He always has our back and the fix is in because he is the ultimate fixer.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of fret and worry. Turn in over to the ultimate fixer….believe, have faith.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful…unexpected…warm day full of sunshine.

-A little shopping in Fran’s shop.

-Lunch with Jackie.

-Catching up with Alex, Cathy, and Kelly.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
