For your consideration…

I think this message is appropriate on election day because politics was the example we were given. We have become complacent in politics. We don’t hold our elected politicians accountable. It is expected that they will say what they need to be elected and then not deliver on their promises.

Our message today uses this example of what is wrong and what we should not do. We should treat our word as our bond and absolutely expect others to do the same. We want to believe in the sincerity of those work with, with those we love, neighbors, authorities, etc.

The keyword is want. This is our HOPE. We want to believe people. We want to trust them. But it is their actions that will determine if we can do that.

And visa-versa. We must deliver the actions that match our words. That is how we gain trust and loyalty from others.

Anyone can talk. The “proof in the pudding,” so to speak is whether or not they deliver with their actions.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Make our words and actions match and hold others accountable to do the same.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Alex.

-Lots of shredding in time for garbage pickup.

-I love my bread machine.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
