For your consideration…

We all have them…life lessons…lessons learned. They run the gambit from easy to almost impossible. Each lifetime is about learning life lessons and growing. the experience we have from them helps us as we move forward.

Our message today honors those life lessons but is about sharing them. An advantage of being part of a community, a family, a friend is we can share our lessons learned. We can benefit from each other’s experiences.

So there are a couple of key parts to today’s message. First, we have to suspend judgment on ourselves and others so that we can be open….so that we can create an environment that is honest and open…conducive to sharing.

The second important part of the message is about honest and open listening. It costs us nothing and can have enormous benefits. On the reverse side when we share it is important that we do it with no strings attached. We can share our life lessons and feelings about them and they may fall on deaf ears. It can be painful to watch people we care about ignore our experience and plow again only to learn the life lesson on their own. It can hurt to watch them.

Our message today reminds us it is about the sharing and the intent to be of service. We must not be attached to the outcome. The outcome is in the hands of the receiver of the benefit of our experience….it can be no other way.

That is the HOPE. and so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be honest and open to sharing and receiving lessons learned.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A chill day.

-Finished a book series.

-My first loaf of bed from my new bread machine.

-More basement cleaning done.

-Cocktails with Kathy. It was good to get out for a bit.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
