For your consideration…

“Chris, some people are afraid to be alone with themselves in silent meditation.” That was the message I heard today. That is what needs to be addressed. It is the elephant in the room.

You can not be a reader of this blog and not know that daily meditation is recommended. I do hear from people that say they can not meditate. To that my response is not to judge it. Don’t judge how long it is. Don’t judge the quality of it. Don’t judge the distractions…acknowledge them, release them and resume meditation. Sometimes it helps to do a guided meditation first. Mindfulness is a good way to start. It takes practice. And even the most experienced meditator will say that some days are better than others. Heck, it may not even be us. Sometimes the energy of the Universe is more open than others.

Today’s message, however, is not about the difficulty in learning meditation or the regular practice of it. Today’s message is for those who are afraid. Whether they admit it or not, sometimes fear is the reason for not giving meditation a committed try. Some people do not want to hear the silence…their Guidance. Perhaps they are afraid to be reminded of things. Perhaps they are afraid of judgment. Perhaps they are afraid of hearing at all. I am sure there are many reasons why they do not try or sabotage themselves.

Here is the heart of today’s message. We have nothing to fear in the silence. Our Guidance is always loving and supportive. It is always for our highest good. In silence, we receive peace and love. Always.

Lightworkers, I posted this once today and was guided to go back and add. This is an important message.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Enter silence with HOPE and Faith. Relax into it.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A chill day.

-So why do I pay for all of the movie channels and not even know they are there? Yesterday, was a day of discovery.

-I am sad that my Hallmark store is closing. I shop there a lot. But I am happy that I got a couple of shelving units for my card making. I am sort of overflowing in my craft area even after I reorganized at the beginning of Covid. This will help.

-A good mystery/adventure book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
