Why is it important to get our questions right? | by Daniel Christian Wahl | Age of Awareness | Medium

For your consideration…

I love this Albert Einstein quote. It reminds me of the Genie in the bottle. If you only get three wishes, don’t waste them asking silly questions. However, today’s message is specific to the question “why?”

Even as small babies we have the wonder of “why?” As soon as we can speak, it is the first question we ask. Children ask it so much it can become exhausting to parents. But “why” indicates an inquiring mind. It means we are trying to learn and grow. It means we want to figure things out.

“Why” is a good thing until it isn’t. Like anything else we can upset the balance when “why” becomes “why me?”

When “why” becomes a pity party, it is time to turn it around. It is time to ask, “why not me?” “Why” shouldn’t this happen to me? “Why” should I be exempt from this life lesson? And finally, what is the lesson of this experience? What opportunities does it bring?

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water….half your body weight.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Let Mother Nature nurture you.

-Give your inquiring mind free rein. Keep it positive.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Lots of cooking done. I seriously have to question a life change. I got 5 meals done in just a few hours. With a little planning coordinated with my grocery order, I could really simply the week.

-A beautiful day.

-A cool night great for my weighted blanket.

-A good book.

-Hearing from both my daughters.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
