For your consideration…

Today’s message came in via the Joni Mitchell song, “Yellow Taxi.” Specifically…

Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you’ve got
‘Til it’s gone
They paved paradise
Put up a parking lot

What one of us gave any thought to all the freedom we had going places without wearing a mask. We gave no thought at all the freedom of breath we had wherever we went. Now we know what how precious freedom it is.

Our message today uses that example to think about all of our other freedoms. We are reminded to be grateful for them and PROTECT THEM because they are precious and worth fighting for.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece,  HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?” That’s all we need to know…the next step. One step at a time.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be grateful for our freedoms and protect them.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Shopping with Jody with lunch in Kerritown.

-A beautiful day.

-Cruising.

-Meeting up with Bob and then running into Dianne, Gary, Jen and Dan. Good surprises.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
