Love yourself first; A self-care guide for teachers and parents.

For your consideration…

Roots are the foundation of our lives. Our roots are seeded in the spirit of our soul.

Like the roots of any plant or tree, like the foundation of any building, the strength of the roots is essential to a healthy life.

We are reminded of this today because many people, perhaps most, feel like to move away from our roots. As we strive to improve our life conditions, we tend to abandon our roots. We are asked to consider that those roots are what enable us to thrive and improve. Remembering them, nurturing them, blessing them, and being grateful for them helps keep them strong. In turn, we become stronger.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Nurture your roots.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day and night….no air…windows open.

-Catching up with Jackie and Alex.

-Bruce’s PT started again and went well…way better than expected.

-The package USPS lost was finally delivered. Is it just me or is there something wrong with paying $14.90 for two-day delivery that takes 8 days. I am grateful it showed up but still.

-A new book started.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
